The Bible and sex is nowadays seen as an explosive combination. At the same time, there’s evidence in our society of a schizophrenia regarding sexual morality. On the one hand sex is seen as trivial – ‘casual sex’ – whilst on the other there’s growing alarm over child sex abuse, ‘date rape’ and pornography. We tend to see a paedophile on every street corner but at the same time we’re blind to the sexualisation of human beings all around us in the name of freedom, entertainment and profit.
